JPD would like your help keeping our Juneau families, friends and neighbors safe tonight. On Halloween we need to be especially careful and alert while driving due to all of the little superheroes, princesses, dinosaurs and other characters that will be walking door to door. JPD will have extra officers out and about keeping an eye on pedestrian traffic and conducting DUI enforcement. We recommend that Trick or Treaters wear bright clothing, walk in groups, carry a light and have adult supervision. If trick or treating, children should not enter a stranger’s house or accept rides from people without a parents’ permission. Remind children not to eat treats unless they are unopened and have been inspected by an adult. We hope you have a safe and happy Halloween!

Today, one of our Community Service Officers found a bike in the downtown area and we would like to get it back to the owner. The bike appears to be in great shape and is sized to fit a child who would be about elementary school or middle school age. The name "Lisa P" is written on the bike seat in black sharpie. If this bike belongs to you or to someone you know, please contact CSO Dolan at phone # 500-0874. Thank you for your assistance.
