Both girls were last seen in the area of Highway 51 and County Rd 143 near the Dale and Coffee County line. Unknown direction of travel and unknown clothing description. ***Update**** Subject has been located. The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Thomas Howard Haygood. Mr. Haygood’s last known location was Bay Co FL. The Coffee County Sheriff's Office received a scam report today. The caller "spoofed" the Sheriff's Office number and demanded money. The Coffee County Jail is now hiring for the entry level position of Corrections Deputy. If you are interested or know someone who is, applications will be available at the Jail every day between the hours of 8am - 9pm.

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police week pays tribute to the local, state and federal police officers who have died, or who have been disabled, in the line of duty. Please join the Coffee County Sheriff's Office and surrounding law enforcement agencies for a memorial service honoring the fallen officers from Coffee County, on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 12:00, Noon. The service will be held at the Coffee County Courthouse in Elba, Alabama.

In a continuing effort to further cooperation and response, the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office and the Coffee County EMA participated in an Active Shooter Exercise with the 1-11th Aviation Regiment. This is part of an ongoing effort to train our Deputies to handle real world situations. Over 30 law enforcement, emergency management and military personnel were present to conduct this exercise.

On Tuesday, January 30, 2018 beginning at 9:00 am Covington Electric Cooperative will be doing maintenance to power lines along County Road 537 between Highway 134 and County Road 559. The maintenance will last approximately 6 hours, and deputies will be assisting with traffic control. We are asking everyone to please be cautious while traveling the area and expect delays.

Beginning Thursday Feb 1, 2018, County Road 215 will be closed for bridge construction over Shoal Creek. The area will be closed between County Road 217 and County Road 207. This closure will last approximately 3 months.

The Coffee County Sheriff's Office is seeking assistance locating Camron Moore, Camron was last seen in the New Brockton, Alabama area on 09/12/2017 around 10:00pm. Camron is a white male, 5'10", 148lbs, and is believed to be wearing a white hoodie and black pants. His direction is travel is unknown, but he should be on foot. The Coffee County Sheriff's Office has received information about a field party planned for this evening. Sheriff Sutton has increased patrols throughout the county in response to this information.

They were last seen in Enterprise, Alabama on Saturday January 28, 2017. Beth was wearing glasses and skinny jeans with brown boots, Haley was wearing a cheetah print shirt with jeans and had a black choker around her neck.
