***ATTENTION*** At this time, North East Arkansas is under a winter storm warning. Ice and snow accumulations are possible up to/greater than 1 inch. While accumulation levels may be greater locally, we strongly urge all drivers to be careful if you must commute. Driving conditions will be extremely hazardous, or even impossible. If you must commute please remember to buckle up, make sure you drive at slower speeds for hazardous weather, and give yourself plenty of room between yourself and other vehicles. Another reminder, make sure to keep your animals warm tonight. If you take them outside, please do not leave them out for extended periods of time. We understand the pets needs to use the restroom. Just be in mind that if you are cold, they are too.

FYI: Recently there have been several vehicle doors found open in different areas of town. Although these may possibly just been mistakenly left open after owners have exited the vehicle to go in the residence, I wanted to publish the following reminder: Please remove valuables (purses, wallets, firearms, etc) from your vehicle and lock the vehicle when home for the night. As always thank you to all the citizens for their support and assistance in keeping our town safe.

Again I want to thank the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department for their help on this.
