***OCTOBER JUNIOR TROOPER OF THE MONTH***
October’s ASP Junior Trooper of the Month is:
Parker Pinner, Age 12
Parker Pinner is a 12 year old, 6th grade student at Beebe Middle School. He was chosen as October’s ASP Junior Trooper of the Month because of the many wonderful qualities that he possesses, as well as his desire to be an ASP trooper when he grows up. Parker is very involved in his school, his community, and his church, and goes above and beyond to help anyone he can.
Parker’s hobbies include: spending time with his family, attending Awana classes at his church, being in the Bible Club at school, hunting, fishing, shooting, flag football, and basketball. He has had the opportunity to spend time with a family friend, Tony Bowman, who is a corporal with the State Police. They have gone hunting together on several occasions and gone to The Range in Searcy to shoot.
Parker’s teachers at Beebe Middle School have seen a lot of great qualities in him. Mr. Jones, Parker’s homeroom teacher says, “Parker is a real go getter, responsible, and has a great attitude. Mr. Davis, Parker’s EAST teacher said, “Parker always has a positive, gung-ho attitude. He is persistent. He won’t let up until he accomplishes the task he’s set for himself.” Another teacher, Mrs. Money, said, “Parker is very kind and helpful to other students. He is responsible and hard working, and he has a great personality.”
Parker is very active in his youth group at Valley Baptist church in Searcy. He has participated in Awana, youth camp, youth plays, and the “Feed My Starving Children” ministry. Brian Robinson, Parker’s youth pastor said, “Parker has a servant heart and would do anything to help a friend. He is very dedicated to his church and never wants to miss an opportunity to grow in his walk with God. I’ve always been impressed by his commitment to be an active part of, not only his middle school group, but also the entire church. I have seen him serve right alongside men and never miss a beat. I know that these qualities will bring him far in life and will allow God to use him in big ways.”
Parker’s desire to help others is why he has been selected as an Arkansas State Police Junior Trooper. We are so proud to recognize Parker as the October 2018 Junior Trooper of the Month. Congratulations Parker!
Parker was honored at his school earlier this week by Troop B’s Corporal Tony Bowman, Corporal Russell Brinsfield, and Corporal Keegan Barnett.
