Our very own Commander Glover will be among the community facilitators for the 21st Century Policing on Modern Strategies to Reunite Arizona Communities. Stop by November 2, 2018.

Such a great event benefiting Angels on Patrol who do so much for our #Tempe Community!

Wishing Officer Rio a happy retirement! A little about Rio is that he was named after Rio Salado and came to the Tempe Police Mounted Unit in 2007, as a dark grey Percheron cross. He stood 16 hands and weighed 1400lbs. He spent 11 years as a gentle, kind, and brave Police Mount. Over the years, Rio has turned almost all white and is 16.3 hands, and as far as his weight, well that's not important...lol. Rio will be enjoying his retirement in a lush soft pasture where he will be pampered and spoiled by his new owner, who has known him since he came to the Mounted Unit in 2007. Thank you for your 11 years of service Rio!
