The Sahuarita PD and all other Southern Arizona Law Enforcement have made a commitment to take DUI drivers off the roadways this holiday season. Arizona is unfortunately on schedule to have 1000 Arizonans die from vehicle collisions this year. The SPD has a zero tolerance policy for DUI drivers. Avoid arrest, embarrassment, legal ramifications, and the possibility of killing or injuring someone by simply not driving impaired from alcohol, drugs, or medications.

This week the SPD completed two 8 hour sessions on Domestic Violence and Strangulation investigation training. Dozens of officers attended the training that will help with these complex investigations and provide victims with better service. Instructors included Sergeants Juan Zamora and Mike Falquez of the Sahuarita PD along with Lieutenant Daniel Rincon of the Scottsdale Police and Sergeant Anthony Castro of the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
