We have a feel good story to bring you from this morning. While having coffee, a young lady named Sophie approached one of our officers and asked if she could pray for him. While Officer Dilley stood there with this girl, she prayed that he have a safe day and for all police officers to be safe. Impressed by this little girl, Officer Dilley took it upon himself to visit her at school and took her a few special items as a token of his appreciation. Thank you, Sophie, for your kind words and your blessings upon us. Faith Christian Academy

Officer Leslie "Les" Ian Early End of Watch: Friday, November 5, 1993 It has been twenty-five years since the loss of our friend and co-worker Officer Leslie “Les” Early. On November 5, 1993, Officer Early and other members of the SWAT Team assembled to conduct a raid on a fortified drug house in Houston. Upon entry into the residence, SWAT members deployed a "flash-bang" at which time the assailant began firing at officers. Officer Early was struck one time near his collarbone. Officer Early was rushed to the hospital where he later succumbed to his wound. Officer Early was 28 years of age. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers today as we remember his life and the ultimate sacrifice he gave in service of others. #NeverForgotten
