This evening, Greenfield PD partnered with Monterey County Probation, King City Police, and the U.S. Marshals to conduct sex offender compliance checks. We are pleased to report all were in compliance and no arrests were made. Happy Halloween!

PUBLIC WORKS ANNOUNCEMENT - Greenfield Public Works will be conducting a major maintenance project on Friday (10/12) at the Tyler Wastewater Lift station on the corner of El Camino Real and Tyler Avenue. We would appreciate for residence living in the area south of Elm avenue to limit their water usage (showers, laundry) after the hours of 8 pm – 5 am. ***Public Safety Announcement*** We have been notified that a Greenfield resident received a telephone call from a person claiming to be a City employee. The person was trying to set up an appointment to come to the residence to test the lead level in the water. Public Works has informed us that they are not testing the water and that this is not a City employee. Please do not set up an appointment with this individual. Remember to always ask for identification should a person come to your residence claiming to be a employee of the City or any other government entity. If in doubt, call the City to verify. Yesterday was the first annual charity basketball game between the Greenfield Police and Fire Departments. It was a hard fought game right to the end. Fire came out on top by a score of 42 - 39. We look forward to the chance to play again next year. We would like to express our deepest appreciation to those that helped make this a successful event. Good Morning! GPD wanted to share the invite for the swearing in of our new Greenfield FD firefighters. Hope you can come help us welcome our new fire department.

Good Morning Greenfield! Many of you know that the Greenfield Fire District will officially become the City of Greenfield Fire Department this Sunday (July 1st). We cordially invite you to the first basketball game between the Greenfield Police Department and the Greenfield Fire Department. The event will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Greenfield High School gym from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Hope to see you all there!

Good afternoon everyone. Hope you all are enjoying your day. We would like to ask for your assistance. There is very little photographic history of the Greenfield Police Department. If anybody has old photographs of Greenfield PD, we would be grateful it if you would be willing to share those with us. We are looking for photos of former police stations, police cars, police officers, police chiefs or anything Greenfield police related. If you happen to have any of these and feel like sharing please let us know. You can bring them to us at the PD and we will scan them and return them to you. Code Enforcement Officer Sanchez and Animal Control Officer Camacho dropped by Oak Avenue Elementary School last Tuesday to speak with the children in the pre-school program. They taught the kids about school and animal safety. The kids and the officers had a great time.

The Four Cities United Community Police Academy Graduation Ceremony was held last Thursday at Memorial Hall in Greenfield. All four cities (Greenfield, King City, Soledad and Gonzales) were represented. The ceremony was a formal event to honor the 57 citizens that participated in the program. We truly appreciate their time and effort. A great example of the community and police working together to build and strengthen relationships. Here are just a few of the photos.

Fabrice Gropaiz was welcomed to Greenfield during his electric skateboard world tour. Gropaiz has completed tours of France and England as is currently traveling through California looking for another world record. He took a moment out of his journey to visit with Officers Mulville and Lerma.
