This video was recorded by a citizen, Jessica, who has given us permission to share her video. She recorded Sgt. Nelson (unbeknownst to Sgt. Nelson) asking the customers and employees at Rialto's In-N-Out Burger to sing happy birthday to a young boy. The young boy approached our officers requesting a police sticker. The birthday boy walked away with a sticker and a big smile. This is an insight to the genuine kindness of policing that occurs often by our officers however acts of kindness go "unrecorded." Thank you Jessica for capturing this moment and your support. Thank you Sgt. Nelson for your service and benevolence to the community.

To our Pedestrians: Don’t assume cars see you, cross with caution. Drivers: Watch for pedestrians! Funding for this operation is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
