An update on the Ralston & South Traffic Signal Activation from City of Belmont California Public Works Dept

Open House Meeting - Ralston Avenue Transportation, Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements Segments 1 & 2 (South Rd to U.S. 101) The Ralston Corridor Study recommends a number improvements at various locations that will enhance pedestrian and bicyclist safety and connectivity, as well as vehicular mobility improvements. Please join the Public Works team on October 10 for this public outreach meeting to learn more about the project and provide feedback or any suggestions.

Proposed Resolution Strengthening the City’s Commitment to Public Safety and Supporting Comprehensive Action to Protect All People from Gun Violence The City Council is considering adopting a resolution that would strengthen the City’s commitment to public safety and would support comprehensive action to protect all people from gun violence. The draft resolution is broadly consistent with prior actions by the Council seeking to promote public safety and it promotes reasonable, common sense comprehensive measures to address gun violence and proper funding of mental health services, substance abuse treatment programs, domestic violence programs, and suicide prevention. #San Mateo was the first City among hundreds in the United States to participate in the armed forces adopt-a-unit program. #Belmont's #adoptaunit program is a beloved effort that our community has embraced. For 50 years students, youth groups, church leaders and city officials in our area have answered the call to boost the morale of 101st Airborne #ScreamingEagles out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky. On Saturday, 3/24/18 communities throughout the Bay Area came together to celebrate this tradition with a parade during a weekend-long homecoming for visiting adopted troops.
