The back to school bbq at Garden Village Elementary School on Sept. 8, 2018. Officers helped with cooking and serving hotdogs, popcorn and snacks. We would like to thank all those that came out and a special thank you to the Colma Fire Department and American Medical Response for joining us.

Today volunteers from the community along with Broadmoor Police Department helped take part in a cleanup event. We greatly appreciate everyones efforts in helping keep our community safe and clean.

Broadmoor is doing its part to help curve the parking dilemma in and around our city.

We walk to end drunk driving. Will you take up the fight by joining us at Walk Like MADD? WALK LIKE MADD is your chance to do something about drunk driving in our community. This year, thousands of people in over 60 cities around the nation will participate in 5k events to eliminate drunk driving from our roadways. You can help MADD eliminate drunk driving by signing up for a Walk Like MADD event near you as a walker, team captain, or volunteer. You can even be involved. This past weekend Broadmoor Police officers participated in the annual Police Appreciation Day at the Tanforan Shopping center, hosted by the San Bruno Police Dept. The event showcased departments from all over the county and our continued support for community awareness.

Join Broadmoor Police officers and our neighboring agencies on Saturday May 19th beginning at 10am for the Annual Police Appreciation Day event at the Tanforan shopping mall. This is a great opportunity to meet officers from all over the county. Hope to see you all there.

Broadmoor Police is having its monthly Police Commission meeting tomorrow May 8th at 7pm. The meeting is held at the police department located at 388 88th street in Broadmoor. All community members are welcome to attend. Please join us. Below is our agenda for tomorrow evenings meeting.

Thanks to the La Terrazza Apartments, Jessica, Melanie and staff for inviting us to "Coffee with a Cop"!! Our department had a blast meeting the residents we serve. It was nice sitting down, meeting and talking with everyone who came by. We look forward to future events as we continue to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the public!

Broadmoor Police would like to remind anyone that is traveling with garbage or recycled materials to any disposal or recycling facility to please ensure the load is securely covered and secured at all times and not overloaded.

Thanks to The At Risk Youth Foundation, the Broadmoor Police Department received teddy bears for children. The bears will be distributed to them when they are involved in or experience traumatic incidences.

With a special request from La Terrazza Apartments, the Broadmoor Police Department will be in attendance for “Coffee with a Cop”. We are always looking for ways to participate in community events and glad we can work towards bridging the gap between Law enforcement and the community we serve.

Arrest Made from Hillside Market Homicides On February 26th 2018 Detectives from North San Mateo County Agencies conducted a joint investigation which led to the arrest of Devin Lum age 20 from South San Francisco. Lum was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail on two counts of Homicide and additional charges. A second arrest of Dorian Duff who resides in Oakland by Detectives from San Mateo County was also made. Duff was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for Accessory to Murder. Additionally, a third person of interest was also identified and released.

Broadmoor Police Press Relase Sunday, February 26, 2018 Homicide Investigation – 1600 Block of Hillside Blvd., Broadmoor, CA On Sunday, February 26, 2017 at approximately 8:44 p.m., officers from the Broadmoor, Daly City and Colma Police Departments responded to a shooting call to the 1600 block of Hillside Blvd, in Broadmoor CA. Upon their arrival, officers located a female and two male adults who each had suffered at least one gunshot wound; responding officers immediately rendered first aid and CPR to the victims. Colma Fire Department and AMR Ambulance responded and one victim was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene, another succumbed to injuries at the hospital and the third victim was treated for gunshot wound(s) and is currently in stable condition. Local Homicide Detectives and San Mateo County Sheriff Crime Scene Investigators responded to identify, gather evidence and canvass the area for potential witnesses. At this time, the motive for the shooting is unknown and Investigators are still actively working leads. The identity of the victim will be released by the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office once next of kin has been notified. The Broadmoor and Daly City Police Departments encourages any witnesses with information regarding this homicide to contact the dispatch center at (650) 363-4915 or alternatively, you may also remain anonymous by calling the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Anonymous Tip Line at 1-800-547-2700.

In an effort to better serve our community, Broadmoor Officers participated in our annual First Aid and CPR training.
