Congratulations to four of our deputies who recently were selected as the “The Best of Pueblo” in the annual Pueblo Chieftain poll. Deputy Dominic Montoya, Deputy Brad Riccillo and Sgt. Ron Thurston were selected “Best Deputy” while Deputy Josh Koen was named as a “Best Local Hero”.

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating the driver and vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident involving a 15-year-old pedestrian in Pueblo West this evening. The female victim was trick-or-treating with a group of people and was walking eastbound on E. Cellini Drive at about 7:20 p.m. when she was hit by a westbound vehicle. The driver of the vehicle did not stop and continued driving west on Cellini Drive. The victim suffered serious bodily injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. Witnesses provided multiple descriptions of the suspect vehicle. The vehicle should have damage to the right front fender and/or bumper. Anyone with information about the incident, the vehicle and the driver is asked to call the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office at (719) 583-6250 or Crime Stoppers at (719) 542-STOP.

Pueblo County Sheriff's Deputies collected 205 pounds of prescription drugs at four locations on Saturday for the National Prescription Drug Take Back Event. Thanks to all the Pueblo County residents who dropped off their unused, unwanted or expired prescription drugs for safe disposal.

Our partners at Pueblo Community College are seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect in a burglary that occurred on campus the evening of Sunday, October 28. The suspect was wearing a black hoodie with Colorado Rockies printed across the front. If you have any information about this incident or the identity of the suspect, please contact the Pueblo Community College Police Department at 549-3355.
