Good morning Enfield! Here’s a little trivia on a Thursday for you! What does this pictured sign mean? 😂🚧🚓 We never like closing down roads 😠, we like you have places to go and people to see and don’t like being detoured. However, whether it be for an accident, hazard or contstruction, we do it so we can get the road opened quicker! If construction crews can work during the day on a closed road they can wrap their job up quicker and get the nice new roads completed so you can enjoy them 👍. We are one team Enfield, let’s work together! #oneteamenfield

While on patrol we found SWAT Officer in Training Lawson all ready to go trick-or-treating. After checking out our cruiser he decided he would be more efficient on foot patrol! 😬 As always, but especially tonight, use extra caution and ensure you’re paying attention while driving!

Every November EPD has been joining many others with "No Shave November". In the past we have chosen a charity or person in need to raise money and help. This year we are putting away our razors to benefit the CT Cancer Foundation. EPD's ambassador will be a boy named Wesley, who will receive a bulk of the proceeds, the rest will go directly to other patients throughout CT. It’s Tipday Tuesday! This week we are focusing on OFFENDERS. If you witness a crime, pay attention to descriptors of the suspect that might aid officers in identification and capture. What was the person wearing? What was their hairstyle, length, and color? What was their height, build, and size? Did they have facial hair or body art? How about glasses? Being a good witness is one of the most important things citizens can do to assist us. As a recap of the past few weeks, we remind you to: B - Be aware of your surroundings in order to prevent crime. O - Utilize Owner Applied Numbers (OANs) to identify your valuables. O - Note details about an offender’s appearance. B-O-O! Next week we’ll bring you some Halloween safety tips! 🎃 👻 Thanks for joining us for Tipday Tuesday! We hope you have a safe and wonderful day! #tipdayTuesday

See you there 😃☕
