CHAMBERS COUNTY DRUG TASK FORCE PRESS RELEASE 09-06-2018 For the past year, agents of the Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force/Chambers County Drug Task Force and the Cambers County Sheriff’s Office have been investigating William Lamar Yarbrough, a local Pizza Delivery Employee for allegation of Trafficking controlled substance. Over the course of the investigation, evidence corroborating the allegations was obtained. On 09-05-2018, Agents from the Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force/ Chambers County Drug Task Force and the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on William Lamar Yarbrough’s vehicle at Papa John’s Pizza on Fob James Drive in Valley, after he returned from making a Pizza Delivery. William Lamar Yarbrough exited his vehicle and ran behind Papa John’s Pizza and was apprehended by Agents. Agents conducted a search on the vehicle and have seized approximately (5) Pounds Marijuana, a quantity of cash, scales and one vehicle. William Lamar Yarbrough was charged with Possession of Marijuana 1st and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Investigation is ongoing and more charges are pending . Sheriff Sid Lockhart request your assistance, On August 10, 2018 in the early morning hours deputies found someone had vandalized the speed radar trailer that had been placed in the five points school area. These trailers are placed in areas to inform drivers of posted speed limits and warn them of traffic violations. These machines are extremely expensive and helpful for the department. A $1,000.00 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for this damage.

Box 602 Lafayette, AL 36862 (334)756-0570 (334)756-0577 FAX PRESS RELEASE 08-13-2018 For the past several months, agents of the Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force/Chambers County Drug Task Force have been investigating James Patrick Cannon and Meredith Brooke Wilkerson for allegations of Trafficking controlled substances. Over the course of the investigation evidence corroborating the allegations was obtained. On 08-13-2018 Agents from the Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force/ Chambers County Drug Task Force and the Multi - Jurisdictional Swat Team executed a search warrant at 3005 16th Ave in Valley. Upon executing the search warrant agents discovered (30) Grams of Methamphetamine, (9) Ounces of Marijuana, (10) MDMA Pills, Hydrocodone Pills, Suspected LSD, Drug Paraphernalia, (15) Firearms, Over (5) Gallons of Untaxed Liquor and a Large Sum of Currency. Agents also located (4) Ounces of Methamphetamine in a vehicle outside of the residence. The following was arrested and charged: James Patrick Cannon was charged with Trafficking – Meth, Possession of Marijuana 1st, (Four) Counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, (One Count of Possession of Untaxed Liquor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
