We need your help! On October 15th a 2003 Beige four door Buick Century was stolen from the parking lot of the Alma Walmart. The stolen vehicle had a Arkansas license plate of 970VLM. The pictures posted are of the two suspects and the vehicle they were dropped off in. If you have any information about the identities of these two people please contact the Alma Police Department at 479-632-3333.

Firearms training isn't all about standing in a line and shooting at paper targets. Our Officers develope their skills by being placed in everyday situations and having to react to those threats.

Officer McIntosh and Officer Duke of Mountainburg PD came to visit the Alma Intermediate School, Jr Officers Club and Pets Club today.

The Alma Police Department would like to recognize the Alma Women's League for their generous donation to the Alma Police Focus Group. Without donations like this one, the Focus Group would not be able to conduct Shop with a Cop to the extent that they do every year. If you would like to make a donation to the Alma Police Focus group, contact Officer Jeremy Caldwell at the Alma Police Department. You can also contact Officer Caldwell to find out how you can get involved with the Focus Group.

What a great community we live in. This afternoon at the car wash on Hwy 71 a young lady finished washing her car, walked back over and placed $2.00 in quarters next to the selector and drove off. One of our Officers was waiting to wash his patrol car. We don't know if she specifically left the money for our Officer or if she was just paying it forward to anyone. Either way the gesture was greatly appreciated. Our Officer decided pass on her gift and leave it for the next patron. We hope it brought a smile to their face like it did ours. To the young lady in the white Chevy HHR, you are what is great about our community.

Put it in your calendar early, August 7th 2018. Information about the event will be released on this page and the Crawford County National Night Out page. Remember, this is a Crawford County event with plans for a different town to host each year. These events are for the community, organized by volunteers and dependent on donations (entry, food and entertainment is free to everyone.) The Alma Police Department is looking forward to NNO 2018!!! Spearheading the planning for next year's event is the Alma Police Focus Group (APFG), a non-profit group that is also involved in awarding scholarships, conducting Shop with a Cop, cookouts and is heavy involved with the Alma Citizens Police Academy. If you are interested in being involved in NNO2018 or other events provided by the APFG, contact our Liason with the group Officer Jeremy Caldwell. #NNO2018 #APFG
