On the 7th day of June 2018, Det. Steven Hallmark of the Wynne Police Department arrested Jody Forrester on 6 counts of Breaking or Entering, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Commercial Burglary, Theft of Property, and Criminal Mischief. These charges stem from an incident in which Handi-Mini Storage had been burglarized and numerous items had been stolen. Some of the stolen property has been returned but it is unknown how many more victims there are or how much property was stolen. Jody Forrester is currently being held in the Cross County Jail awaiting a date in circuit court.
Charles “Bubba” Holmes was also arrested on the 7th for the breaking or entering of a vehicle and theft of tools from the vehicle. The vehicle was discovered to have been broken into during the early morning hours and the tools were subsequently located and returned to the owner. Mr. Holmes has a lengthy criminal record and is currently being held in the Cross County Jail awaiting a date in circuit court.
