Faulkner County Sheriff's Office News

Been out towards the northeast part of the county today? If you had, you probably saw the mobile command center at Hwy 36/107. Sheriff Ryals studies crime statistics and orders deputies to saturate specific areas. We often get lots of questions while we do this throughout the county. Folks wonder if we’re looking for someone or if there’s been a major crisis. Nope. Nothing like that. We’re just trying to work as hard as we can for the citizens of Faulkner County.

We ask you to call your local law enforcement agency whenever you feel nervous about someone showing up at your house, for whatever reason; whether it’s an alleged door-to-door salesman, someone who claims to be broke down and need of assistance, or for any other reason. We will always respond to calls of suspicious persons or activities. Call. We want you to. Social media is a wonderful tool from time to time. In an effort to best serve our community however, we invite those that need our assistance for any reason to call 501-450-4914 or 911 in the event of an emergency.

A couple things to remember: Don’t forget to ensure your headlights are on while it’s raining. It’s the law. Another thing, do not pass barricades blocking flooded roads. It is actually against the law to do so. One may receive a citation if caught. Both laws are designed to keep motorists safe.
