This male subject is believed to be running with the female from the previous post. The suspects were involved in breaking or entering of a vehicle and fraudulent use of a credit card. Just a reminder to lock your car doors and bring valuables inside. It is never a good idea for you to do this as you will become a target for suspects. Also if you are leaving your house for a vaction, funeral, or any other reason, please contact HSVPD. We have a form you will fill out and we will keep an eye on your house while you are gone. The Hot Springs Village Police Department in conjunction with surrounding law enforcement agencies with be participating in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's "Drive sober or get pulled over" campaign from August 22 to September 04, 2018.Please remember to designate a sober driver and don’t let friends or family members drive drunk. Even a small amount of alcohol can impair judgment and reaction times, making driving unsafe. The goal of this effort is to ensure that the residents and guests of Hot Springs Village have a safe Labor Day holiday.

Please don't forget to bring your old or no longer needed prescription medications to the Village Police Department on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 from 10 AM to 2Pm for disposal. The station is located at 113 Calella Road, HSV. Contact Dispatch for additional information 501.922.0011.

The HSVPD will be participating in the state-wide prescription drug turn program on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 between 10AM-2PM. The turn in site will be at the HSVPD Station located at 113 Calella Road in Hot Springs Village. Participants are asked to place their outdated or unneeded prescription medications into a ziplock bag prior to turning the drugs in at the disposal site in order to prevent possible identity theft.

The Hot Springs Village Police Department will be sponsoring it's yearly retired law enforcement officer handgun qualification course on Monday, April 16, 2016 at 8 AM at the action shooting area of the Mountain Valley Sportsmen's Range located at 320 Ten Mile Road just outside Hot Springs, AR. This event is open to any retried law enforcement officer in good standing. Proof of identity as well as retirement credentials will be required. Any retired law enforcement officer interested in participating will be required to provide a handgun and fifty rounds of ammunition for qualification purposes. Please contact Lt. The Hot Springs Village Police Department will be hosting it's Spring session of the HSVPD Citizen's Police Academy from April 05, 2018 to May 24th, 2018. The CPA will meet on Thursday night of each week from 6PM until 8PM at the police training and events center located at 301 Balearic Road. The intent of this course is to inform the Village residents about the various functions of their police department. Applications for the CPA can be picked up at the police station or found online at the hsvpoa website.

The Hot Springs Village Animal Welfare League (AWL) have several feral cats available. Feral cats are not social with humans and are usually free roaming. Feral Cats make great barn cats. These cats are spayed and vetted. If interested in a feral cat please contact AWL at 501-915-9337

The following roads are still closed due to flooding: -Desoto Park Ln leading to Dog Park is closed -S. Barcelona from Meteoro Way to Mandaraina Dr. is closed - Minorca is closed between Merced and Desoto Blvd. Please take Viajero Dr. as an alternate route.

The following areas remained closed due to flooding. -Cortez Gate/Talley Cemetary is closed -Desoto Park Ln leading to Dog Park is closed -S. Barcelona from Meteoro Way to Mandaraina Dr. is closed -Desoto/Minorca water is beginning to gather at bottom of hill, please use caution when driving in this area. - Minorca is closed between Merced and Desoto Blvd. Please take Viajero Dr. as an alternate route. Will continue to update as the rain continues.

Please be careful as this rain has caused flooding in the area. Desoto Park/Desoto Dog Park area is barricaded off due to flood waters, and the Cortez Gate area is also barricaded off due to flood waters. Please make arrangements to get to your destination another route. Do not attempt to drive through the rising water, turn around it is not worth risking your life.

The Hot Springs Village Compliance Division has now joined the HSV Police Department. They are here to oversee that everyone in the Village is in compliance with the polices, and regulations. They do anything from boats and trailers being parked in driveways to long, yards not being maintained, illegal tree cutting, buildings being maintained on property, and so forth.
