In a joint effort with Greene County Sheriff's Department and the Paragould Police Department resulted in 4 people charged in a 6 vehicle car ring theft, multiple breaking or enterings, commercial burglary, and residential burglary. All 6 vehicles, several guns and over 1000 rounds of ammunition and miscellaneous items recovered.

Today Aug 17, 2018, Greene County Investigators uncovered new evidence during the course a continued investigation in the case of Steve Henderson in the rape and kidnapping of a Greene County resident. In light of the new evidence, we have discovered the inaccuracy of the initial statements made to our investigators. We would like to advise the public that no citizens are in danger due to the acts reported. Due to the inaccurate statements made, we are releasing Mr. Henderson from our custody. However, we are continuing a very active investigation into this matter. While the Greene County Sheriff’s office is committed to the pursuit of justice, we are equally committed to the truth to all parties. We would like to assure the public that we will continue to maintain the highest possible ethical standards as we strive to keep our community safe. News update Yesterday afternoon a woman was abducted in the center hill area and then taken into the county and assaulted in the scatter creek area. Greene county Criminal investigators, Deputies, Constables and reserve officers searched the areas until the evening hours for the suspect. Criminal investigators worked late until the night preparing evidence to be sent to the Arkansas crime lab. The suspect was laying in the victim's back seat of her vehicle when she entered it to go to town. The victim was not able to give any details about what the suspect looked like. At this time we would ask everyone to take special cautions. Keep your vehicles locked and pay extra special attention to your surroundings when entering your vehicle at home or at places of business at this time. If anyone has any information that would be of any help in this matter please call 236 7612.

Possession of K2 Mr. Jessie Hobbs was arrested by Deputy Dustin Estes late Monday night on a traffic stop. Mr. Hobbs was taken into custody after a container of K2 was located in his vehicle. Mr. Hobbs was charged with felony possession.

Saturday at Belks We would like to thank the good people at Belks of Paragould for having us out Saturday. We had a good time visiting with the children.

Arrested Mr. Jamie Harrelson has been a suspect in numerous thefts in Greene County. Wednesday evening Greene County Deputies arrested Mr.Harrelson and transported him to the Greene County Detention Center.charges are, theft of property for use with burglary offenses, breaking or entering and criminal trespass in or on a vehicle or structure.

WANTED Mr. Jeffery Woods is wanted by The Greene County Sheriff's Department for Felony Delivery of crystal Methamphetamine. Any help in locating Mr. Woods would be greatly appreciated. 870 236 7612

Mid year update As of July 9th the Greene County Sheriff's Department has sent in 502 felony case files to court. At this same time in 2017 471felony case files were sent in and in 2016 439 felony case files were sent in. These numbers show Sherifff Carter and his team are continuing to excel yearly in felony arrests. Also in early 2018 Sheriff Carter put together two Criminal investigators to work as a team and concentrate on crimes such as, Crimes against persons, thefts of property, robbery, break ins and fraud. This has been a great success. Recovery of stolen vehicles equipment and misc items are at an all time record high.

MARMADUKE SEARCH WARRANT Early Wednesday morning June 27th Sheriff David Carter and Greene County Deputies executed a Search Warrant at 602 N 2nd street in Marmaduke shutting down an active drug selling operation. During the search deputies found large amounts of crystal methamphetamine, two firearms and drug paraphernalia. Total weight of crystal methamphetamine seized from this address totaled over a quarter pound. This was the third successful search warrant executed in Marmaduke by Sheriff Carter and his team. Daniel Judd was arrested and transported to the Greene County detention center and charged with possession of crystal methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of drug paraphernalia and deliver of crystal methamphetamine.

Early morning search warrant Early Friday morning Sheriff Carter along with Greene County Deputies conducted a search warrant on east Court street shutting down an active drug selling operation. In the home deputies located numerous bags of crystal methamphetamine weighed out and packaged for selling, one thousand four hundred and eighty eight dollars cash. They also found digital scales and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. Mr.patrick Young was then arrested for delivery of crystal methamphetamine x 3, possession of crystal methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, distribution near a certain facilities X 3, use of a communication device and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Last night's arrests Greene County Deputies arrested Ms. Shena Reed for possession of crystal methamphetamine and Ms. Charlie Smith for possession of crystal methamphetamine with purpose to deliver. Both arrests were during traffic stops late last night.

SAFETY DAY Today is safety day and we will be at Wal-Mart on 412 west from 10:00 till 2:00 pm. We will be giving out information on computer scams and have items for the children such as safety coloring books, sticker badges, pencils, erasers and gun locks. Come on out and see us.

Wanted Suspect Arrested Greene County Deputies arrested Mr. Gregory Fender II this afternoon after a pursuit in a stolen vehicle that ran from Carroll Rd to County Rd 789.Mr. Fender then bailed from his vehicle and led deputies on a short foot pursuit. Gregory Fender was wanted by Greene and three other counties on various felony charges.

GREENE COUNTY DETENTION CENTER Jail Administrator Allison Huckabee and Jail Supervisor Don Crittenden are doing a great job overseeing the operation and staff of The Greene County Detention center. Seldom seen but always on the job are the men and women of the Greene County Detention center. These people do a great job during the day to day operation of the facility. They are here working 24 hours a day seven days a week 12 hours a shift. That includes all weekends and holidays. We are very greatful to have such a good crew working with us here.
