A Level 2 Sex Offender, who Approx 10 minutes ago cut off his ankle monitor and fled from the 1600 block of Pinebluff St. Gilbert is approx 5’8, 152 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes. Malvern Police is seeing an influx of Breaking or Enterings into vehicle. While we will be working tirelessly to solve these crimes, Malvern Police would just like to remind the citizens to lock your car doors and take any valuables that you keep in your vehicle inside with you as most of the vehilces that are being broken into are being left unlocked.

UPDATE:: The vehicle has been recovered and the suspect is in custody. Thank you to everyone for your information and tips that helped to further this case to its resolution. Malvern Criminal Investigations would like to ask your assistance in identifiying this suspect in connection to a vehicle theft. The vehicle that was stolen was a 2002 GMC Yukon, pewter in color(pictured below). If you know who this suspect is please contact the Malvern Police Department at 501-332-3636.

Again, Malvern Police Department is needing your assitance in identifying two suspects. These two suspects are wanted in connection to a shooting that occurred on the night of July the 17th. The suspects are to be considered armed and dangerous. If you see these individuals do not approach them but contact your local law enforcement agency. The individuals in question are the black male in the blue shirt on the left and the black male on the right in the black shirt. Today is the National Prescription Drug take-back day. If you have any expired or unused medication you can drop it off at Walmart in Malvern and the police department will dispose of it for you. We will be here from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. . If you cannot come to Walmart there is a drop-off box located at the Malvern Police Department available Monday through Friday from 8 to 4:30

The Malvern Police Department is requesting the help of the public to locate a runaway juvenile female. Runaway/missing 17-year-old Heavan Messec white female, blond hair, hazel eyes, She is 5‘4 inches tall and 120 pounds She was last seen on 4-17-18 leaving her residence and getting into a black four-door Pontiac. She was with her 17-year-old boyfriend that has family in the Pulaski County area If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of this juvenile female, please contact The Malvern Police Department at 501-332-3636

Congratulations go out to Officer Miles French for being awarded Officer of the Month! On February 13th, Ofc French conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a fictitious license plate. During the course of his investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle driver had an extensive drug history and multiple warrants for arrest. Upon making contact with the occupants, Ofc French observed the driver to put a cheeseburger box away quickly. Canine Ofc Dickson arrived on scene and, upon running the canine around the vehicle, received a positive alert. Ofc French searched the vehicle and located a baggie of suspected Methamphetamine hidden inside of a cheeseburger in the cheeseburger box. Through observation, attention to detail, and thinking outside of the box, Ofc French was able to remove narcotics from the streets of Malvern. Great work Officer French!

School Resource Officer - Ofc. Moore and The Malvern School District continue taking a proactive approach in keeping our kids safe. Ofc. Moore spoke with teachers yesterday about Active Shooter preparedness. He covered multiple topics, including Active shooter awareness, incident response, personal stress response and more. Congratulations to Officer Bolding for earning officer of the month! On January 31st 2018, Officer Bolding made a traffic stop on a motorcycle for a traffic violation. During the course of Officer Bolding's investigation, it was discovered that the motorcycle was stolen and that the operator of the motorcycle gave a false name. The operator was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine and weapons. Through attention to detail and good police work, Officer Bolding removed a stolen vehicle and narcotics from the streets of Malvern!

Malvern Police received a tip today about a possible threat of a school shooting through Snap Chat. The tip received was that this might be us. The Snap was from "@MHSstudent" (see pic below) but it appears to actually be referencing Maumelle high school. We want everyone to know that all precautions will be taken, but it appears to be a false alarm. The suspect from the Christmas Eve Robbery has been taken into custody without incident by MPD detectives. Thank you to the citizens of our fine community for sharing our post.

He handed out Fidget Spinners and Malvern Police Department temporary tattoos. Officer Savage reminded students to be safe this holiday season and enjoy their Holiday break!
