PUBLIC INTOXICATION LEADS TO ARREST According to Chief Deputy Earnie Blackley, on June 14, Zachoria O’Dell Henry was arrested by Deputy Geoffrey Watts for leaving the scene of an accident, driving on suspended DL, possession of drug paraphernalia, refusal to submit to chemical test and DWI. Henry is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $2900 bond. Henry is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on July 26. On June 14, Gaylon Pauline Meister age 44 of Humphrey, AR was arrested by Deputy Sean Tomlinson for possession of a controlled substance. Meister is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in Lieu of a $1250 bond. Meister is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on July 12. On June 15, Chad Thomas Scott age 45 of Leachville was arrested by Sgt. Steve Davidson for public intox. Scott is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $220 bond. On June 17, Brett Tunnicliff age 33 of Melbourne was arrested by Sgt. Steve Davidson for driving on suspended, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. On June 16, Jakob Dilyn Shempert age 18 of Cave City was arrested by Deputy Mike Foster for drinking in public. Shempert was given an OR bond and is scheduled to appear in Horseshoe Bend District Court on July 10. On June 16, Brandon Mathew Shempert age 39 of Cave City was arrested by Deputy Richard Crowe for providing alcohol to minor and drinking in public. BUSY WEEK FOR IZARD COUNTY DEPUTIES According to Chief Deputy Earnie Blackley on June 6, Kristy Renee Goodson age 37 of Calico Rock was arrested by Sgt. Steve Davidson for failure to appear Goodson is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in Lieu of a $635 cash bond. Goodson is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on June 21. On June 5, Don Ray Foster age 80 of Violet Hill was arrested by Deputy Jaden Whitfield for aggravated assault. Foster was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $2000 cash bond. Foster is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on June 19. On June 5, Michael Gene Hamilton age 53 of Mt. Pleasant was arrested by Sgt. Mark Simino for harassing communications and harassment. Hamilton posted a $750 cash bond. Hamilton is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on July 12. On June 1, Richard Thomas Brown age 60 was arrested by Deputy Sean Tomlinson for drinking in public, no liability insurance, no drivers license, endangering the welfare of a minor 2 counts, and fictitious license. Brown is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $2,500 cash bond. Brown is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on June 21. On May 29, Lacrissa Burgess age 28 of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy Steve Davidson for domestic battery 3rd degree. On June 2, Morgan Williams age 21 of Oxford was arrested by Sgt. Steve Davidson for public intoxication. Williams bonded on a $220 cash bond. On June 9, Richard Allen Valenzuela age 56 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested by Deputy Nick Taylor for driving left to center, DWI 1st offence, refusal to submit, no drivers license and hazardous driving. Valenzuela was incarcerated and bonded on a $1380 bond. Valenzuela is scheduled to appear in Horseshoe Bend District Court on July 10. Steve Davidson for DWI and possession of a controlled substance. Brown is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $2,070 bond. Brown is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on June 21. On May 20, Steven Michael Feazell age 44 of Yellville was arrested by Deputy DJ Tiernan for failure to pay fines. Feazell was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and given an OR bond. Feazell is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on June 21. On May 19, Steven Mason Cagle age 36 of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy Richard Crowe for DWI and failure to pay registration. Cagle Was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and given an OR bond. Cagle is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on June 21. On May 19, Billy Dwayne Turner age 46 of Melbourne was arrested by Deputy Richard Crowe for careless driving, drinking in public, three counts of disorderly conduct and two counts of criminal mischief. Turner was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and given an OR bond. Turner is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on June 21. On May 15, Larry Joe Herring age 40 of Melbourne was arrested by Deputy Richard Crowe for driving while license suspended. Herring was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $365 bond. Herring is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on June 21. On May 16, Dawn Renee Heard age 33 of Oxford was arrested by Sgt. Steve Davidson for possession of drug paraphernalia and domestic battery. Izard County Sheriffs Department and 16th Judicial Drug Task Force Conclude Months Long Investigation With Several Arrests. According to Chief Deputy Earnie Blackley on Tuesday May 8, the Izard County Sheriffs Department, the 16th Judicial Drug Task Force and the Arkansas State Police executed nine arrest warrants. These warrants stem from drug investigations over the last few months. Suspect number one was Tammy Gayle Robinson age 49 of Calico Rock was charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance schedule II less than 2 grams and Habitual Offender enhanced. At time of arrest Robinson was also charged with possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Suspect number two was David Lee Rigdon age 53 of Oxford was charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance schedule II less than two grams. Rigdon is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Suspect number three was Danny A. Sturgis of Calico Rock age 62 was charged with two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance schedule II Methamphetamine and Distribution of a Controlled Substance near Certain Facilities two counts. At time of arrest Sturgis was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance schedule II Cocaine less than two grams. Sturgis is incarcerated in lieu of a $30,000 bond. Suspect number four was Kathryn Pitts age 32 of Oxford. Pitts was charged with three counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, schedule II Methamphetamine less than two grams. Pitts is being held in lieu of $20,000 bond. Suspect number five, Jimmy John Lewallen age 35 of Melbourne was charged with two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance schedule II Methamphetamine less than two counts. Lewallen is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Suspect number six was Gregory Allen Jones age 39 of Melbourne was charged with two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance schedule II Methamphetamine less than two grams and one count of Delivery of a Controlled Substance schedule II Methamphetamine, two grams or more but less than 10 grams. Jones is being held in lieu of a $20,000 bond. Suspect number seven was Rodney Paul Medling age 43 of Brockwell. Medling was charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance schedule II Methamphetamine less than two grams and Habitual Offender enhancement. Medling is being held in lieu of a $20,000 bond. At the time of arrest, items were observed in plain sight in Melding’s residence. A search warrant was executed at Melding’s residence and Medling received more charges, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine less than two grams, Use or Possession with the Purpose to use Drug Paraphernalia, used for introducing methamphetamine into human body, use or possession with the purpose to use Drug Paraphernalia with the purpose to compound, process, prepare, test, analyze a controlled substance that is methamphetamine, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons, Maintaining a Drug Premises and Habitual Offender Enhancement. Medling received an additional $50,000 bond. Suspect number eight is Tommy Franks was charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance schedule IV. Franks is incarcerated in lieu of a $5000 bond. Also involved in the roundup was Ashley Monique Webster age 27 of Mountain Home was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance schedule II Methamphetamine less than two grams. Webster is incarcerated in lieu of a $5000 bond. Erin Kay Couch age 33 of Melbourne was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Couch is incarcerated in lieu of a $2240 bond. On May 2, John Wayne Morgan age 35 of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy Geoffrey Watts for theft of property and commercial burglary. Morgan is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $25,000 bond. Morgan is scheduled to appear in izard county Circuit Court on May 22. On May 3, Marcus Thomas Alvarado age 42 of Sage was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. On April 30, Debra Marie Smallwood age 53 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested by Deputy Nick Taylor for illegal presentation of food coupon voucher for payment. On May 1, James Lewis Campsure was arrested by Deputy DJ Tiernan for Domestic Battery 3rd degree. Campsure is Incarcerated in the Izard county Detention Center. Meek is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center with no bond. Meek is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on May 22. On April 27, Anthony Ray Milsap age 19 was arrested by Deputy Mike Smith for theft by receiving. Milsap was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $500 cash bond. HOMICIDE NEAR CALICO ROCK On Sunday April 22nd at approximately 1:00 am Izard County Deputies responded to a 911 call from the Gorby Community near Calico Rock stating that someone had been stabbed. Upon arrival Deputies discovered 29 year old Joseph Stefka of Horseshoe Bend with what appeared to be a puncture wound to the chest. Mr. Stefka was transported to the Calico Rock Medical Center by Vital Link where he was pronounced D.O.A. The body has been sent to the State Crime Lab. 23 year old Cydney Taylor of Dolph was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with first degree murder. Taylor is incarcerated in the Izard County Jail in lieu of a $200,000.00 bond. The case is being investigated by the Izard County Sheriff’s Department and the Arkansas State Police. Camden was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and given an OR bond. Camden is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on May 10. On April 14, Carly Tasha Reed age 35 of Batesville was arrested by Sgt. Steve Davidson for failure to pay fines. Reed was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $250 cash bond. Reed is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 26. On April 14, Kyleigh Kaprice Moser age 20 of Melbourne was arrested by Deputy Richard Crowe for DWI. Possession of liquor by minor and driving left of center. Moser was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and given an OR bond. Moser is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on May 10. On April 13, Mason Alexander Grant age 29 of Pineville was arrested for failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements and a hold by probation and parole. Grant is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center with no bond at this time. Grant is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on May 22. On April 11, Candace Alicia Wilkins age 39 of Cherokee Village was arrested by Deputy Geoffrey Watts for failure to pay fines. Taylor was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and transferred to Baxter County. Taylor is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 25. On April 3, Richard Thomas Brown age 59 of Melbourne was arrested by Sgt. Gabe Sanders for terroristic threatening, criminal trespass, careless driving, no driver’s license and possession of marijuana. Brown was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $250 cash bond. Brown is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 26. On April 4, Eric Edward Booth age 41 of Melbourne was arrested by Deputy Jaden Whitfield for possession of controlled substance and DWI. Booth is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $2185 bond. Booth is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 26. On April 4, Larry Joe Herring was arrested by Deputy DJ Tiernan for failure to appear in felony court and contempt of court. Herring is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center with no bond. Herring is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on April 25. On April 8, Alex Douglas Hodges age 22 of Salem was arrested by Deputy Richard Crowe for driving left to center, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hodges was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and given a OR bond. Hodges is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 12.

IZARD COUNTY DEPUTIES CONTINUE TO STAY BUSY On April 1, Gregory Allen Jones age 39 of Melbourne was arrested by Deputy Richard Crowe for Contempt of Court. Jones is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a$270 bond. Jones is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on May 6. On April 1, Rebecca Diane Wray age 32 of Oxford Was arrested by Deputy Geoffrey Watts for failure to appear. Wray is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center with no bond. Wray is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on April 25. On March 31, Richard Thomas Brown age 59 of Melbourne was arrested by Sgt. Gabe Sanders for terroristic threatening 1st degree, criminal trespass, careless driving, no drivers license and possession of marijuana. Brown is incarcerated in the izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $2325 bond. Brown is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 26. On April 31, Ben G. Fitzsimmons age 26 of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy DJ Tiernan for failure to pay fines. Fitzsimmons is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $1755 bond. Fitzsimmons is scheduled to appear on April 17. On March 31, Catlin Taylor Haynes age 21 of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy DJ Tiernan for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Haynes is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $1560 bond. Haynes is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 26. On March 31, Spencer Cole Love age 19 of Salem was arrested by Deputy Evan Jones for DUI and careless driving. Love was incarcerated and bonded on a $640 bond. Love is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 26. On March 31, Terry Lynn Sweeney age 35 of Melbourne was arrested by Sgt. Steve Davidson for DWI. Sweeney was incarcerated and bonded on a $820 bond. Sweeney is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on May 10. On March 28, Kristy Renee Goodson of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy DJ Tiernan for driving on suspended. Goodson was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and given a OR Bond. Goodson is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on March 28. On March 27, Terry Don Edwards age 31 of Melbourne was arrested by Sgt. Mark Simino for violation of hot check law. Edwards was incarcerated and bonded on a $399.61 bond. Edwards is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 12. On March 29. Billy Dale Eaton age 61 of Brockwell was arrested by Deputy Evan Jones for possession of a controlled substance and failure to maintain control. Eaton was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $1445 bond. Eaton is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 26.

THEFT, DWI, AND POSSESSION According to Chief Deputy Earnie Blackley on March 19, Gretchin Leigh Stamper age 43 of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy Jaden Whitfield for DWI and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Stamper was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $820 bond. Stamper is scheduled to appear in Izard County District court on March 26. On March 22, Russell Dillon Isbell age 28 of Melbourne was arrested by Deputy Evan Jones for 2nd degree assault on a family or household member and possession of drug paraphernalia. Isabell is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center waiting to see the judge. Isbell is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 26. On March 22, Valine Idell Griffin age 33 of Melbourne was arrested by Deputy Evan Jones for disorderly conduct and domestic battering 3rd degree. Griffin was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $500 bond. Griffin is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 26. On March 22, Kathryn Rene Reeves age 54 of Franklin was arrested by Deputy Geoffrey Watts for resisting arrest and terroristic threatening 1st degree. Reeves was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and given an OR bond. Reeves is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 26. On March 20, Haleigh Nicole Ables age 18 of Evening shade was charged with theft of property. Ables bonded on a $200 cash bond. Ables is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 12. On March 25, Tiffany Kathleen Harris age 26 of Franklin was charged with theft of property. Harris was given an OR bond. Harris is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 12.

ON GOING INVESTIGATIONS RESULTS IN RECORD SEIZURE OF METHAMPHETAMINE FOR IZARD COUNTY On March 7, a search warrant was by members of the Izard County Sheriff’s Department, the 16th Judicial Drug Task Force and Arkansas probation and parole and State Police, executed at the residence of Robin Black at 691 Sandy Flats Rd. Robyn Black age 47 of Melbourne was arrested for possession with the purpose to deliver meth, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, maintaining a drug premises and possession of drug paraphernalia. Black was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $25,000 bond. Black is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court. Also arrested at the residence was Richard Jackson Wells age 50 of Melbourne and Donald Lee Martin age 39 of Melbourne. Wells was charged with Possession with the purpose to deliver methamphetamine, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, maintaining drug premises and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wells was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $25,000 bond. Martin was charged with possession of methamphetamine, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and possession of drug paraphernalia. Martin is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $25,000 bond. Wells and Martin are scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on March 27. According to Chief Deputy Earnie Blackley officers of the Izard County Sheriff’s Department, the 16 Judicial Drug Task Force, Arkansas State Police, and the South-Central Missouri Drug Task Force arrested Charles Peter Shepherd age 50 Rhonda Gale Peebles age 55 and Ricky Lee Schiltz of Sage. Shepherd and Peebles are both charged with trafficking of a controlled substance schedule 2 methamphetamine more than 200 grams. Both are incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $20,000 bond each they are both scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on April 23. Ricky Lee Schiltz was charged with maintaining a drug premises a class C felony, delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine a class Y felony, delivery of a controlled substance a class B felony and habitual offender A.C.A 5-4-501a. Schiltz is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $250,000 bond. Schiltz is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on April 23. These arrest stem from an ongoing investigation and resulted in the seizure of approximately 5 pounds of methamphetamine. According to Chief Deputy Earnie Blackley on March 15, Norma Lee Strader age 47 of Oxford was arrested by Deputy Geoffrey Watts for failure to pay fines. Strader was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and was given a OR bond. Strader is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 10. On March 17, Billy Joe Chance age 31 of Melbourne was arrested by Deputy Dennis Hutchins for failure to pay fines and failure to pay child support. Chance was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $4,947.21 bond. On March 19, Allen Dale Ivy age 60 of Mtn. View was arrested by Sgt. Steve Davidson for driving on suspended, failure to pay fines and no liability insurance. Ivy is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $1,480 bond. Ivy is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 12, On March 15, Sierra Danielle Stapleton age 18 of Calico Rock was arrested by Sgt. Mark Simino for terroristic threatening. Stapleton is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $2,500 bond. Stapleton is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 26. On March 15, Lance Dewayne Smith Age 25 of Melbourne was arrested by Deputy Richard Crowe for DWI and careless driving. Smith was incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center and bonded on a $990 bond. Smith is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 19. On March 14, Michael Edward Gilbreath age 44 of Ash Flat was arrested for failure to pay child support. Gilbreath is incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Center in lieu of a $1,270 bond. On March 13, Aaron Michael Woodward age 34 of Sidney was arrested by Deputy Mike Foster for failure to appear, driving on suspended, fictitious license. No insurance and reckless driving. Woodward was incarcerated and bonded on a $1,495.00 dollar bond. Woodward is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 19. On March 12, Cydney Diana Taylor age 22 of Dolph was arrested by Deputy Richard Crowe for domestic battery 3rd degree. Taylor was incarcerated and bonded on a $2,000 bond. Taylor is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court on April 12.
