Due to vacations and citizens being out of town during the summertime, the next crime watch meeting September 17th. Everyone have a safe and fun summer!

City of Austin is hiring certified full-time and part-time Police Officers. Applications may be picked up at Austin City Hall 3181 hwy 367 N. Austin or mailed to p.o. box 129 austin ar 72007.

Austin Police Dept. wants to say thank you to Lonoke County Safe Haven, Austin Station Baptist Church, Cabot Middle School North, and Smith Funeral Home of North Little Rock for all the snacks that were brought by the department for the officers. We appreciate all the thoughts prayers and support.

I would like to proudly announce two new members of the Austin Police Department, who graduated from Lonoke Police Department’s Part-Time Police Academy. -ROBERT LARMAN, who took first place in firearms qualifications and, -JACOB PETTYPOOL, who took second place in academics. Both officers were also awarded perfect attendance. Both officers are active military and I’m proud to have them aboard our department and I believe they will be a great asset to our community.
