The Lonoke Police Department and the Lonoke County Sheriffs Department are teaming up to put on a CRASE Class Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events. We will also be going over Avoid Deny Defend. Acronym ADD. The class will be December 11th 2017 at 5pm at the Lonoke District Court. From Sheriff John Staley . ********Lonoke County/ Prairie County Most Wanted******** The Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office and The Prairie County Sheriff’s Office is wanting the public’s help on locating Randy Thomas Turner, W/M , 41 years of age. Turner is wanted in connection with multiple residential burglaries and thefts in Lonoke County and Prairie County. Turner is an active Parolee out of the Arkansas Department of Corrections. Turner is considered to be Armed and Dangerous. Turner was last seen in the Butlerville area of Lonoke County. If located contact the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office. 501-676-3000. This suspect may have just stolen a vehicle from the Dollar General at Hwy 31/38. The truck is a 2001 Ford F150 Blue with the Cowboy prayer and a cross on the rear window.

This is the route for Candy Land hosted by the Assembly of God. There will be a make shift road by using the shoulder and grass off of Fish Hatchery. You cannot enter Candy Land off of Highway 70. The Lonoke Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Part-time 2 patrol officer. No certification needed as we will be putting on a class in February of 2018 in Lonoke to certify you but certified Officers are welcome. The candidates will complete a state mandated training class that will consist of several months and have to pass the FTO program before hitting the streets! We will have quite a few of these positions available however, it is first come first serve! Requirements are, you must have a valid license, no felony charges, must be 21, must pass a background check, drug screen, and willing to work any shift! It’s that time of year again for Candy Land sponsored by the Assembly Of God. We are doing the route just like last year. There will only be one way in and one way out. Entrance will be from Fish Hatchery taking a right off of Fish Hatchery onto the make shift road which will lead you into Candy Land. The makeshift road will be marked with barrels and cones. This is a reminder of our event at the Atwood’s parking lot on October 28 2017 from 10 am to 2 pm. Those of you that have advertisement booths or educational booths I must remind you that the booths you set up you cannot sell anything. You can give free promotional items but you can not sell with in our event. We will be providing entertainment and food so don’t let that stop you from coming or setting up. Live entertainment will be provided by TJ Ashley and the Backroad Band with other entertainment as well. Free hotdogs and drinks provided. This event is to Promote the Vote on an upcoming election that will help the City of Lonoke flourish.
