Keiser Police Department News

FYI: Recently there have been several vehicle doors found open in different areas of town. Although these may possibly just been mistakenly left open after owners have exited the vehicle to go in the residence, I wanted to publish the following reminder: Please remove valuables (purses, wallets, firearms, etc) from your vehicle and lock the vehicle when home for the night. As always thank you to all the citizens for their support and assistance in keeping our town safe.

Congratulations Chief Souder!

On October 3, 2015 the Keiser Police Department, with the assistance of the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department, executed a search warrant at a residence in Keiser. As a result of the search, narcotics and other items were recovered from the residence and a suspect was arrested. We are doing what we can to clean up the town and rid the City of Keiser of its drug problem. However, without help from the public, it is very difficult to do so. If you have any information regarding narcotics activity, please contact the police department or send a private message to the Keiser Police Department Facebook page. Again I want to thank the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department for their help on this.

On July 24, 2015, the Keiser Police Department responded to a report of felony assault in the 300 block of Pine St. As officers attempted to stop the subject of the complaint, he began to flee in his vehicle. As a result, officers from the Keiser Police Department, Arkansas State Police, and Mississippi County Sheriff Department pursued the suspect at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. The suspect failed to yield to several vehicles almost striking them at the intersection of State Highway 181 and State Highway 140. The suspect was finally apprehended near State Highway 140 and State Highway 77 after a brief stand-off. The suspect will be arraigned in Osceola District Court on Monday, July 27, 2015.

On July 10, 2015 the Keiser Police Department, the Mississippi County Sheriff Department, and the Arkansas State Police arrested an individual on a felony warrant for the burglary and theft of the Keiser First Baptist Church.
