Thank you to Pope County 911 and all of the dispatchers out there that provide law enforcement with vital information and help keep us safe!

On Thursday we graduated another group of students from the Public Safety Students Academy (PSSA). These students went through four weeks of law enforcement training to include self defense, searches, arrest procedures, traffic stops, criminal investigation, reality based scenarios, emergency management, and the MILO simulator. If you are interested in joining the Fall 2017 session of the PSSA, inbox us to learn how!

A big thank you to the Wives of Armor for the St. Patrick's Day goodies. We are thankful to have such a great organization to support the local law enforcement!

The Women in the Workplace Luncheon today was a huge success. Thank you to Aubrey Holt and all her staff for an awesome event. It was honor to sit at the table with the key note speaker, Air National Guard Brigadier General Tamhra Hutchins-Frye. #likeagirl

Public Safety Student Academy traffic stop night

Today Captain Marcoe and Officer Pearson had the honor of being judges, along with Russellville Police Department Officers Quinn Jones and Jason Dougan, for the traffic stop competition at the Arkansas Tech Career Center for the Criminal Justice program. Watch out for these high school students to do great things in the future!

Tonight was our first session of the Spring 2017 Public Safety Student Academy. The theme for the night was search and arrest procedures, to include use of force. Did you miss the sign up deadline? It's not too late to join in on the fun... message us for more info. Next week is traffic stops and crime scenarios.

The GG Lot (in front of Chambers Cafeteria) will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday for the career fair. Please keep this in mind and plan accordingly.

Traffic on North Glenwood Avenue near Tech Field (baseball) will be detoured through parking lot ZZ during the week of Monday, Feb. 6, to allow for road work in that area. Please keep this in mind while traveling on campus.
