Thank You Abbott's Garage and Jacksonville Towing/Recovery for assisting Jacksonville Police Department with the materials needed to host a successful training for agencies not only in Central Arkansas, but those that traveled to us from around the country. VCQB Instructor is an accelerated shooting class focused on positional shooting and critical light manipulations in and around vehicles. Students pushed the boundaries of “traditional” cover and concealment utilizing various cars and trucks in a true 3D environment. Drills incorporated critical weapon employment while engaging threats in, around, from, over and under vehicles with a heavy emphasis on problem solving. Lighting principles and threat assessment all play a major factor in this course. Live ballistic demos with a variety of ammunition was also conducted as the class explored ballistic deflection, deformation, penetration and terminal effect in direct correlation to various vehicle mediums. Classroom portions included video diagnostics, statistics, and tactics.

All City of Jacksonville offices will be closed Monday, September 3rd in observance of Labor Day. All sanitation routes will be picked up one day late.
