Daily Summary for September 20, 2018 •Officers responded to Military Road in reference to someone trying to cash a fraudulent check. The suspect fled the scene before the officer’s arrival but left his driver’s license behind. The investigation is ongoing. •Following a traffic stop on Congo Road, officers cited and released the driver for a warrant out of Saline County and a warrant out of our department. The passenger was arrested for Obstruction of Governmental Operations after falsely identifying herself. •Officers arrested a suspect for a warrant out of Denver County, Colorado, for Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer. The suspect is awaiting extradition at the Sheriff’s Office. •Officers responded to Gattin Road in reference to shots fired. Contact was made with an individual in the area and he denied knowing anything about the incident. Officers later noticed that the crossing guard sign wasn’t flashing as they should and found that the solar panel of the sign had a gunshot hole in it. Dispatch was instructed to advise the Benton Street Department about the damage. •Following a traffic stop at an I-30 business, officers arrested two individuals for theft of property warrants. They were taken to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office. Calls for Service: 115 Traffic Stops: 42 Citations: 10 Accidents: 1

They were seen leaving in a white Kia Sorento SUV without tags (believed to be 2002 to 2006 model) after not paying for several concealed items. Summit Road, officers responded and arrested a suspect for Assault on a Family or Household Member. *A shoplifting was reported from a north service road business. *Officers responded to a disturbance on Alcoa Road and arrested a suspect for Domestic Battery. *A theft was reported from a River Street residence. *Charges of Criminal Mischief and Battery are pending for a suspect involved in a disturbance on Alcoa Road. *Officers responded to a Fawn Drive disturbance and charged a juvenile offender with Assault on a Family or Household Member.
