Kensett Police Department News

We The Kensett Police Department want to Thank Everyone for their Support!! Kensett is a Great Town!!

White County Judge will be issuing a Burn Ban for White County starting at 3 PM today July 13, 2018, until further notice. This does NOT include the city of Griffithville per their Mayor.

I want to say a huge thank you to Officer Chandler for his kindness this afternoon while helping with the pickup line at the school. This is my little boy Keegan, who has a high functioning form of autism. Last year, when he started kindergarten, him and Officer Smith became quick friends. Yesterday when he learned of his best friends passing, he took it really well, but as many of you know, with Autism, every day is different. He was having a difficult moment getting into the car, a mix of emotions were coming over him, and Officer Chandler stepped in, helped get him in the car, talked to him, and gave him a sticker as a reward for calming down. As we were heading to Wal-Mart, Keegan said, "he's not officer smith, but I think he can be my friend." Thank you again for taking that extra bit of time and making my boys day when he feels like his world is crumbling.

Officer Smith was a Great and Caring Resource Officer for Riverview!!

We lost one of our Brothers tonight, please Pray for his family. Officer Lynn Smith you will be Missed!!!

When there are barracaids up that means" DO NOT GO DOWN THAT ROAD"!!!! But it seems that ppl in Kensett, and surrounding areas, think these do not apply to them! This road is caving in on the side and could be very dangerous! White County Road department is trying to get to it as soon as they can, to fix it, but ppl need to stop removing the barricades before some one gets hurt!!!

This was a very emotional thing to see, Our Brother in Blue went to do his job today and didn't get to go back home to his family, and that is such a hard thing to except as a fellow Officer! My heart is so sad for his family tonight! Lord plz reach down and hold his family tight in your arms and give them some comfort in this horrible time! Prayers for Newport Police Department!
