The Eagar Police Department has received information from the Arizona Department of Forestry that there will be controlled burns in the area of Flattop on November 14 and 15. Citizens in the area that are affected by smoke should take precautions to alleviate the effects of the smoke from the controlled burns.

On Thursday October 26 the Eagar Police Department finished the Anti-Bullying presentation for the Round Valley Middle School 5th grade classes. The classes created posters which were all great. Special recognition to Miss Martin's class for creating the winning poster- The Bat Cave.

Officers complete physical agility training at Sipes! Chief Mike Sweetser coordinated the 1.5 timed run. Special recognition goes out to Citizen Volunteer Jim Tieman who completed the event.

Just got this picture. Here are three Special Olympians and the winner of the chain saw raffle at Eagar Days in August. The raffle raised over $1500 towards Special Olympics. Special thanks goes out to Jeff Wells and Missy Wells from Cowboy Up for the chainsaw, the athletes that helped sell tickets, and Town of Eagar Municipal Code Officer Robert Stonestreet for organizing the raffle. Way to go!!!!!


Public Forum-Traffic Safety

Please be safe on the roadways. School starts on Monday August 14. Please be aware of children walking to school, school buses picking up children, and parents and teens driving to and from the schools. Due to the concerns in the area of the elementary school citations will be written for those that impede traffic and are parking in no parking areas. The areas before and after 2nd ST on Butler ST, Eagar ST, and Hamblin ST are 15 mph zones when children are walking to and from school. Please see the attached letter.
