Eagar Police Department News

Special thanks to the Round Valley Middle School for the Patriot's Day Presentation. It was a very nice presentation and is good to see history still being part of our local schools.

Officers with the Eagar Police Department assisted with a lock down drill at the Round Valley Elementary School. On an over all perspective the drill went rather well. Please remember that these type of drills are done to help protect our children during a bad situation.

The Eagar Police Department would like to recognize Bob Reece who recently passed away at the age of 85. Bob had been a CVP (Civilian Volunteer Patrol) since May 1, 2008 and maintained that involvement with the program until his passing. Bob most recently worked the 4th of July parade. Bob had been in the area for over 25 years and came here after retiring from a law enforcement career in Pinal County. Bob had a great personality and was a pleasure to work with. He loved Halloween and made sure to come out and bring candy for the children at each Trunk or Treat event Eagar Police Department was involved in. Bob will be greatly missed by those at the Eagar Police Department and our prayers are with his family. Bob's desire to help regularly is truly appreciated. The Eagar Police Department thanks Bob Reece for his service to the Town of Eagar. It will surely be missed.

⚡ ☎️ 📢 ***Fraud Alert*** Residents of Eagar and beyond: A fraudulent scheme is active in and around Eagar in which a caller contacts local residents by phone, advises them they are delinquent on their electric bill, and offers a payment solution in lieu of shut-off. Please do not provide any personal information or funds to the caller but contact Navopache directly at 928-333-4631 or 928-368-5118 if you are uncertain about your status with the co-op.

Don't forget about Eagar Days Outdoor Expo and Gun Show going on Friday and Saturday at the dome. Arizona Inflatables is here this year along with other great vendors. Arizona Game and Fish Department has stuff for the kids to do as well. There are also some great food vendors. Come and get something to eat or drink.

HUNTER ED CLASS AT EAGAR DAYS

EAGAR DAYS IS COMING UP

Special Thanks to the Community The Eagar Police Department would like to thank the citizens and visitors to our area during the week of the 4th of July. This year we have had very few calls for fireworks or open fires. Thank you for respecting the regulations at this time as it takes teamwork to keep the community safe and THIS COMMUNITY DID A GREAT JOB AT IT. Fire restrictions are still in place, so keep it up. The rain is coming in slowly and hopefully the restrictions will be lifted soon.

With the 4th of July approaching a reminder in reference the use of ATVs and UTVs on the roads in the Town of Eagar. Any ATV/UTV must be registered with an MC plate from ADOT, have current insurance, and the driver must have a valid driver's license. Anyone under 18 years of age must have a helmet on. Fines can be over $1000 dollars if ticketed. The Eagar Police Department will be enforcing these laws. Please ensure that these machines are used responsibly and do not allow any unlicensed person to drive them on the roadway. Thank you.

Please be advised Eagar Police Department has volunteers manning the line at 333-4127 opt 4 number and will be dispatching emergencies directly from our back up dispatching system. Thank you.

Please help the Eagar Police Department find who has been responsible for the graffiti tagged on Bashas and the building at Main St and Central Ave. Both incidents are believed to have occurred during the early morning hours. We will be conducting bike and foot patrols as well as reaching out to other entities for information and/or assistance but also need the public's help. Please call 928-337-4321 option 2 to speak to an officer if you have any information or see something or someone suspicious. Let's work together to keep our community looking good and graffiti free. Thank you.

Please take note of the banquet for the Darrin Reed Scholarship fund. This fund has been started for scholarships for students 'on the mountain' and focused towards first responders. If you are able to attend the banquet in July please do so to help raise money for our local students.
