To all those interested or concerned about the bright white light that crossed the Southern Sky this evening (at about 6:30 PM MST). Winslow Police Department has confirmed with Phx Sky Harbor FAA there is no reason for alarm. A long range test missile was launched from Edwards Air Force Base in South Central California. The bright white trail we saw was the contrail created by the rocket emission. The contrail was high enough in the sky to still catch sunlight to the west. (Although, we would have much preferred to share that Santa was visiting our wonderful citizens early this year.) Have a safe and Merry Christmas Winslow !

Thank you for your service Mr. Draper. Rest In Peace sir. Semper Fidelis.

It's the Holiday Season, a time to reflect on the blessings in your life and hopefully bring a little bit of joy to a local child's life. As in years past, the Winslow Police Department is again collecting unwrapped new toys and clothing for children ages 1 Day to 17 years of age that are in the care of the Department of Child Safety. You can bring your new unwrapped toy to the Winslow Police Department Monday thru Friday's from 08:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. from now until December 23rd. This has always been a very successful program, and we are looking forward to another successful year of making the Holiday's a little bit brighter for local children in need. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Det. A. Marquez @ (928)289-2431.
