Please see the attached message from City Manager Steve Pauken: "With the Stage 3 fire restrictions now in effect, the use of any and all fireworks are now banned throughout Navajo County. The local Fire Marshall, Chief James Hernandez, has granted the Winslow Chamber of Commerce fireworks show an exemption from this ban. This is due to the fact that Winslow’s 4th of July fireworks display is conducted safely, professionally and in a controlled environment. The ban on other fireworks remains in place for safety reasons. One stray spark could burn down a home or set off a wildfire. Please join the Chamber of Commerce at the football field and enjoy a safe and spectacular show."

WPD was proud to escort Bike Tours for the Wounded of Great Britain. These wounded military veterans were a pleasure to meet.

Winslow Police Department Officer Dave Sargent worked diligently to ensure these two suspects were brought to justice, and that the victim’s body was found in order to bring closure for the family. This case was solved due to nothing less than the excellence, hard work and dedication of Officer Sargent. We are so proud and fortunate to have such a fine lawman within our ranks.
