On this day in 1933, Jerome police officer David Reese lost his life. He was shot down near the Nevada Cafe on Hull Avenue in Jerome by an unknown gunman. Today is also Sunday, it was Sunday in 1933 when this officer lost his life. His killer was never found. RIP officer Reese.

This is police officer memorial week. Please remember Officer Charles King and Officer David Reese, both were gunned down in the streets of Jerome in the early years. These were true heros! David Reese's killer was never found!

The first annual Clarkdale and Jerome Police Departments combined award ceremonies. Held at Clarkdale Men's Clubhouse in Clarkdale. Thanks to all who attended. Also thanks to Arizona Rangers and Spectrum Healthcare Crisis Response Team.
