Our Bell PD Explorer Post 539 competed this weekend at the 2017 CHP Southern Explorer competition in Lancaster. Twenty six different police explorer teams participated in 10 events. Our explorers proudly represented the department and city. They won a total of 6 awards: 1st place - vehicle search 1st place - warrant service 1st place - felony tstop 2nd place - active shooter 2nd place - crisis intervention 5th place - team relay The program is actively recruiting teens between the ages of 14 and 21 who would like to pursue a career in law enforcement. The program meets every Wednesday at 6pm in front of the Bell Police Department. For more information you can contact Sgt.
