PUBLIC'S HELP SOUGHT IN LOCATING SECOND MURDER SUSPECT AND PERSON OF INTEREST: VIDEO AVAILABLE Suspect wanted in connection with 10/10/17 murders of two male adults at a liquor store at Anaheim Street & Walnut Avenue, and the LBPD is asking for the public’s help in locating 30-year-old Savanna Sok from Long Beach. Sok was identified as a 5’9” tall, 160 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair Cambodian male. LBPD also seeks help identifying/locating Sok’s girlfriend (pictured), who is a person of interest. We believe the couple may have fled to the San Bernardino/Redlands area. Sok should be considered possibly armed/dangerous, and no attempt should be made to detain him. HALLOWEEN SAFETY SCHOOL VISIT Today, Chief Luna visited 1st grade students at Oropeza Elem. to talk about Halloween safety. During the visit, he explained how officers must take an oath to protect & serve before they are presented their badge. Chief Luna then asked the class to raise their right hands and promise to be good, to listen to their parents & teachers, to do all their homework, and to be good neighbors. The Chief then presented each of them with a "sticky badge" ... along with Halloween bags (donated by the Long Beach Police Foundation), and some Halloween treats! Much thanks to Counselor Jimenez & Ms. Manning for allowing us this quality time with your students. It was a win-win today! 😊
