We have been receiving inquiries from parents of students from Dexter Middle School in the City of Whittier, regarding social media postings about a potential threat to the school tomorrow. This appears to be stemming from an earlier investigation where we concluded NO CREDIBLE THREAT TO THE SCHOOL. Earlier today we were made aware of a photo of ammunition that was posted online last week by a Dexter Middle School student. We have spoken to the student and the family and confirmed that the photo was related to a family shooting activity (parents taking kids to a firing range) which was planned for the next day, on a weekend.
