**SUSPECT SOUGHT FOR MURDER IN LOVE TRIANGLE DEATH -- SOSPECHOSO BUSCADO POR ASESINATO** Our homicide detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating Humberto Rodriguez-Martinez, a 30 year old Anaheim man wanted in connection with the stabbing death of his jilted lover’s new boyfriend. Just after 5:00 am on Thursday, October 19, 2017, APD officers responded to the intersection of Santa Ana St and Helena regarding subjects fighting in the street. The first officers on scene located Daniel Reyes, a 32 year old resident of Los Angeles, suffering from at least one stab wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation revealed Rodriguez-Martinez was jealous of Reyes who was now dating his former girlfriend. Rodriguez-Martinez and a friend, Adan Zapot-Leyva, were waiting for Reyes when he left his girlfriend’s Anaheim residence and attacked him, leading to Reyes’ death. Zapot-Leyva was arrested without incident on October 21, 2017, and has been charged with Reyes’ murder. He is being held in Orange County Jail on $1,000,000 bail. His booking photo is shown below. An arrest warrant has been issued for Rodriguez-Martinez, who is believed to be hiding in the San Diego area. Rodriguez-Martinez’ tan Toyota Corolla was recovered in the City of San Diego on October 26, 2017, one week after the murder. Rodriguez-Martinez should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding the crime, or the whereabouts of Humberto Rodriguez-Martinez, is urged to contact Orange County Crime Stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS or www.occrimestoppers.org A reward up to $1,000.00 may be paid for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Rodriguez-Martinez.
