About 25 members of the San Diego County Probation Department's command staff helped serve more than 1,000 lunches on Monday to people who are homeless at the St. Vincent de Paul Village downtown. Chief Adolfo Gonzales, in the third photo, said the department looks for opportunities to get involved in the community whenever possible and some of their clients are homeless.

Probation joined the National Latino Peace Officers Association – San Diego Chapter, the San Diego Lowriders Association and Foodland Mercado to provide family dinners to several families in the South County and National City areas this weekend.

We had another successful toy delivery operation this weekend. Chief Probation Officer Adolfo Gonzales, probation officers and the San Diego Lowrider Association delivered dinners and toys to six deserving families in the Chula Vista, National City and San Marcos areas. Happy Holidays!

We got into the holiday spirit participating in Shop with a Cop San Diego this weekend! In San Diego County, 330 children received gift certificates to shop with local law enforcement at Target.

Thank you to the San Diego Sheriff's CIVICS program for collaborating with us. We were able to reward the 4th and 5th grade Probation Citizen’s Academy graduates from San Marcos Elementary with 20 beautiful bikes! Another big thanks to the San Diego County Probation Officers Association ‏and the SPOA for the new helmets that accompanied each bike!

Some juveniles in custody and their families had each other to be thankful for this year while sharing a holiday meal.

We had the opportunity along with the Low Rider Association of San Diego to bring Thanksgiving dinners to families in the San Marcos Unified School District, National School District and Chula Vista Elementary School District. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

San Diego County Probation was out in Oak Park last weekend for One San Diego's Better a Block event. It was a great opportunity to strengthen relationships with community leaders and partners.

San Diego County Probation walked like MADD on Saturday in support of the MADD 5K walk at NTC Park/Liberty Station. Deputy Probation Chief Cesar Escuro represented the department and joined the Law Enforcement Relay Challenge by competing in the powdered donut leg of the race.

Never resort to violence. San Diego Probation officers joined with El Cajon Police Dept for #DomesticViolenceAwareness Month at last week's East County Coalition 2017 Hope Rally.

An @OTS_CA grant will help SD Probation officers monitor high risk, felony and repeat DUI offenders and keep them off the roads.
