What goes together better than spaghetti and meatballs, you ask? That's right - cops and donuts! Today is National Donut Day! This morning, to kick this special day off, Officers Carlson and Kim joined Chief Di Piero to discuss their favorite donut. As you can see, Officer Carlson is a chocolate-dipped, old-fashioned. Chief Di Piero prefers the simplicity of the plain cake donut. After a brief bite, they were off to handle the daily tasks at hand and to ensure the campus remains safe. We hope you all had an amazing semester and look forward to seeing you during the Summer Semester. Happy Friday and HAPPY DONUT DAY!

Honoring & remembering the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for our safety, we will never forget your sacrifice. Thank you.

This weekend, as we celebrate with barbecues and family, we take time out to honor those who fell while defending our Constitution, fighting for freedom, and protecting the rights we enjoy and often take for granted. Please enjoy a safe weekend and never forget those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the country they love and believe in. "For love of country, they accepted death" - James A. Garfield

What an amazing day! Escorting the Lima Company Memorial to San Joaquin Delta College was awe-inspiring and a true honor. Thank you to all of our Veterans who participated in the procession. A special thanks to our law enforcement partners from San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office, CHP – Stockton, Lodi Police Department, Amtrak Railroad Police, and Stockton Police Department for assisting in the escort and providing the welcome that this amazing memorial deserves. Of course, a huge thanks goes out to Eagles Nest Harley-Davidson for providing us with a suitable staging area to kick off the procession and Stockton Fire Department for making our arrival even more memorable! None of this could have happened without the dedicated men and women of the San Joaquin Delta College Veterans Resource Center, the San Joaquin Delta College Student Veterans Alliance, the San Joaquin Delta College Office of Student Equity and Diversity, and the Delta College Foundation.

This afternoon, beginning at 1:00 pm, the District Police Department, along with law enforcement from throughout San Joaquin County, will lead the Lima Company Memorial and Veteran motorcycle riders from Eagles Nest Harley-Davidson to San Joaquin Delta College. This multi-agency escort is just a small gesture to thank and honor these true American heroes. When we arrive on the campus of Delta College, at approximately 1:30, our Veterans and the Memorial will be greeted by Stockton Fire Department ladder trucks hoisting the American flag in their honor. While the "Eyes of Freedom" recognizes the fallen of Lima 3/25, it travels the United States "Honoring ALL Who Answer Our Nation’s Call; Then, Now, and Tomorrow." The Memorial will be on display in the Atherton Auditorium from Tuesday, March 27 - Thursday, March 29. We encourage everyone to come honor the brave heroes of Lima 3/25. We hope that Spring Break has been treating you all well. While you have been away, we have taken advantage of the quieter times by doing training. The District Police Department is fortunate to have certified trainers within its ranks. On Tuesday, we set up the cones and worked on some basics...low-speed driving. At face value, this may not seem too important. However, one of the most common calls at Delta College involves minor collisions. This training assists us in remaining safe while patrolling the campuses of Delta College. See you next week!

Weather, traffic, or midterms got you down? Enjoy these shots of this morning's double rainbow to help clear the blues, in case you missed it. Look closely and you'll see our student officer saying hello!

Happy International Women's Day! Today we stand in honor of women, encouraging & empowering all to succeed. We would also like to shed a spotlight on the women of the SJDC PD for their daily contributions to your safety. (Shout out to the ladies who couldn't be in the picture today.)
