On the evening of Friday, January 5, 2018 into Saturday, January 6, 2018, between the hours of 8:30 pm and 2:30 am, 4 unknown suspects associated with a dark-colored Chevrolet SUV burglarized a vehicle parked on the 3900 block of Fairfax Way. An unknown witness left a note on the victim’s vehicle regarding the burglary but has not been located or identified. The South San Francisco Police Department is requesting the unidentified witness to contact the South San Francisco Police Department at (650) 877-8900 regarding Case # 18-185.

On behalf of the South San Francisco PAL and South San Francisco Police Explorers, Detective Mark Kosta and Officer Brian Blake, would like to invite you all to the annual SSF PAL Boosters Dinner Dance. The event will be held at The Elks Lodge (920 Stonegate Drive, SSF) on Friday, 2/2/18. Since dinner will be Super Bowl weekend, this year’s theme is “Superbowl Party” so come in your favorite jersey to help support our SSF Youth. Kickoff is at 6pm! Over the years, thousands of South San Francisco residents have benefitted from participating in these PAL youth activities. We believe these youth sports/activities are crucial to the development of our community's young boys and girls and gives them the great experience of being part of a team. The South San Francisco PAL have facilitated youth involvement in activities such as; baseball, softball, roller skating, soccer, basketball, wrestling, gymnastics, band, bowling, small caliber rifle safety, target shooting competitions, football and our Police Explorer Program. The PAL mission, in part, is to enhance the relationship that youngsters have with police officers and to help them learn valuable life lessons such as; sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, respect for others and friendship. These are all vital characteristics in the development of our citizens and future community leaders.

Police Records Office will be closed at noon on Friday, December 29th (New Year's Eve - Observed) and Monday, January 1st. We will re-open on Tuesday, January 2nd at 7:30 a.m. Please note we will have our regular schedule on Saturday, December 30th (9:00 am – 5:00 pm) and Sunday, December 31st (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm). Today was the South San Francisco Public Safety 2017 Holiday Toy and Food Drive. We thank all the caring and generous citizens and companies who donated food, toys, and funds for a worthy cause. We also want to thank all the volunteers and city employees who provided countless hours of their time so families in need will able to have a memorable holiday season, which started yesterday with the sorting of the goods...Over 500 local families have been served through this successful event!
