The nationwide Click-it-or-Ticket campaign is still in effect through June 3rd. Although the annual campaign might be ending, @SSFPolice enforces this life-saving law all year long. Please buckle up yourself and all occupants in your vehicle. You might be one the 12,000 lives saved this year. Please use the belt and #ArriveAlive.

The South San Francisco Police Department honors and remembers those who gave their lives in service to our country. #MemorialDay

Our Explorer Cadets recently received some very generous donations from a few of our favorite fans! Longtime supporter Dr. Kelvin Choi of South San Francisco Dental Care and our very own Mayor, Mayor Liza Normandy creatively fundraised donations to help send 12 of our Explorer Cadets to the National Law Enforcement Exploring Conference and competition at Purdue University in July. Thank you so much to our local businesses and city representatives who always support us! More summer fundraisers are coming, but if you’d like to help donate now or sponsor a Cadet on their trip, please call our Services Division or email us at SLO@ssf.net.

In observance of Memorial Day, the Police Records Office will be closed on Monday, May 28, 2018. We will re-open on Tuesday, May 29th at 7:30 a.m.

The nationwide Click-it-or-Ticket campaign continues this Memorial Day weekend and into next month. An astounding 57% of age 18 to 34 year-old passenger occupants killed in collisions were not wearing their seatbelts. There is no excuse to fail to #BuckleUp when you are in car. With the Star Wars Solo movie out this weekend, we share a message from our friends in the State of Utah: Yoda says, buckle up you must!. Please #ArriveAlive.

This week our Officers provided a few very special Police Escorts to school for two young students at both Buri Buri Elementary and Sunshine Gardens Elementary schools. Our School Liaison Officers collaborated with school officials to make both Jonah and Robert their school’s “Officer For A Day” as part of fundraiser auctions to benefit the elementary schools. Officer Jonah and Officer Robert were also both treated to behind the scenes tours of the South San Francisco Police Department with their families. Great job to our Officers For A Day! Thanks for helping keep the hallways and playgrounds at your schools safe!
