Happy St Patrick's Day from LPD! Lakewood Agents Chavez and Deroehn participated in Denver's St Patrick's Day parade. Looks like they were found mingling with some Denver Police officers to celebrate the holiday.

Enjoy a worry free workout! Lock your lockers, or better yet, keep your car keys with you, and leave nothing in the locker room or in your car for thieves to steal. Feel the burn of your workout, not of identity theft!

We're a little late, but we wanted to feature some of our LPD women for International Women's Day, and encourage others to take the step towards their goals. Lakewood is an incredible place for women to work, as these women will tell you. We are currently accepting applications for Police Recruits. Visit to see the full video, as well as many others that will help guide you in a decision about becoming a police agent with LPD. Come live the dream!

A lot of our Agents have been talking about the gratitude received from people in Lakewood. It does mean a lot to them and they wanted to thank you for standing behind LPD and supporting LPD. The simple statement of “thank you for what you do” is never wasted on us. It is taken to heart.

LPD and LoJack would like to congratulate Carmen Hackworth! Carmen was awarded a LoJack vehicle recovery system today. Her Jeep Liberty had been stolen from her driveway in November. She now has LoJack to help locate her vehicle if it's ever stolen again. Congratulations Carmen!

This is what westbound W 6th Ave looked like today! LPD saw a lot of vehicles struggling with traction and turning into hazards on the roadways. While we understand some roads were just impassible, some vehicles did not have appropriate tire tread. PLEASE check your tires and visit for more winter driving tips.
