Precautionary Boil Water Notice To: Residents of the City of Starke water system. There has been a 12-inch main water service line break on Edwards Road in the City of Starke. The water line has been repaired. As the water is coming back on, residents may see their water as cloudy, red rust colored, and/or irregular pressure. Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil for one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used. The “Precautionary Boil Water Notice” will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink, which may be up to 48 hours. If you have any questions you may contact the Starke City Hall at 904-964-5027. Bob Milner City Manager City of Starke
