We thank Walmart for their contribution to our 21st annual Shop With a Cop program. Fifty underprivileged and/or deserving kids from schools in Miramar were given each $50 to buy gifts. Officers helped them shop and keep a running tab. Although the gifts were suppose to be for themselves, some kids bought for their family as well. #holidayspirit

A Pembroke Pines Charter School bus crashed into tree this morning near the 1800 block of S.W. 163rd Ave. Eleven students were on the bus. No serious injuries reported. Crash is under investigation.

Traffic Update: Turnpike ramps on Red Road are open. One lane, each way, southbound and northbound Red Road between the 3500 block and the turnpike is open.

Red Road is shut down from the 3500 block to just south of the turnpike (Miami-Dade County side). Both north and south ramps to the turnpike are also closed due to a crash involving a tanker truck.
