The University Police Department Seeks Input Regarding Body-Worn Camera Policy The UPD has received a grant to equip all patrol officers and sergeants with body-worn cameras. As part of the grant, the police department is reviewing its policy. Anyone with an interest in the use of the cameras is invited to participate in the process by attending an input meeting 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, or 11 a.m. to noon Friday, March 2, in the Student Union, Building 58W, Room 3601. If you can’t attend a meeting and wish to email any ideas, questions or concerns, contact Deputy Chief Bill Strudel at b.strudel@unf.edu. In cooperation with the Drug Enforcement Agency's National Prescription Drug Take-Back Initiative and in an effort to keep medications away from children and out of landfills, a deposit box for expired medications/unneeded prescriptions will be available in the lobby of the Martin P. Garris Police Building, Building 41, from Thursday, April 27 through Saturday, April 29.
