Apalachicola Police Department News

Everyone please remember to turn your lights on in this heavy fog. Be safe!

Possibly, with the shopping season at its highest, we unfortunately have noticed an increase in our elderly citizens being, or attempting to be, scammed by fraudulent companies and/or persons via phone. Recently Sargeant Chase Richards conducted a class at the Holy Family Senior Center to educate our community elders what to watch for in case of being contacted by these predators. If you or a loved one would like information on this serious matter. Please contact Sgt. Richards at the Apalachicola Police Department. (850-653-9755). We would be happy to provide the tools needed to avoid these costly and troublesome situations.

We are partnering with the Carrabelle Police Department and would like to extend the offer of a Firearms Safety Course for use to obtain a concealed weapons permit to all church leaders/officials. This course will be FREE of charge! Donations also accepted. If you are a pastor, preacher, or church leader and are interested, please contact Chief Bobby Varnes or Lizzette Dearinger at 850-653-9755
