VIDEO from last night's incident: The victim, who is blurred, walks into the building at about 10 seconds in. The person who walks in after her is the man she says grabbed her. He can be seen leaving the building at about the 2:50 mark. We’re sharing the video with you in the hopes that witnesses in and near the building and anyone else with information will come forward. UCFPD detectives are continuing to thoroughly investigate this case, and police can be reached 24/7 by calling 407-823-5555. The woman also provided a more detailed suspect description. The man is described as between 5’6 and 5’8 and approximately 160 lbs. with black, bushy eyebrows and short black hair. She said he was wearing a dark sweater, dark jeans and rectangular glasses. She said that the man who touched her did not resemble the composite sketch released in relation to the attempted sexual battery at Valencia College Tuesday. We will continue to share updates as we have them.

Follow up on last night’s battery: The incident took place inside Business Administration II, not BAI as previously reported. A similar incident took place in the same area last month. Detectives are revisiting that case and reviewing surveillance video from last night. Contact UCFPD at 407-823-5555 with info about either incident. Regarding the incident at Valencia College Tuesday night: At this point, the circumstances and suspect descriptions do not match. UCFPD will continue to follow up on every lead and is working with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to explore any possible connection. The safety of our students, faculty and staff is always our first priority. Expect to see additional police presence on campus. And if you see something, say something.

#UCFAlert: UCFPD alerts you to a suspicious incident that took place on campus this evening. A female student reported an unknown male inappropriately grabbed her. She described the man as a 5’7 dark-skinned male of thin build, wearing a gray hoodie & jeans. More info ⬇️

We know you may still have vacay brain, but we want to help you get back into the swing of things! Can you figure out the answer to this brain teaser? (We'll post the answer tomorrow at 3PM if you’re stuck.)

Let's Be Clear. Our goal at UCF is to create and maintain a diverse and inclusive community by taking a strong stance against sexual assault, harassment, stalking, and other forms of relationship violence. We do not tolerate any of those behaviors. As we start 2018, let's all renew our commitment to stand up to interpersonal violence https://letsbeclear.ucf.edu

Today marks one year since Dfc. Norm Lewis & Lt. Debra Clayton lost their lives in the line of duty. A memorial motorcade will leave from UCF's Wayne Densch Student-Athlete Leadership Center at 10AM and head toward 408. Expect traffic delays in the area and please be respectful. Waving and saluting at the passing motorcade is encouraged. Route: North Orion➡️Gemini➡️Libra➡️Discovery Dr➡️Ingenuity Dr➡️Challenger Pkwy➡️408

Welcome back, Knights! We wish you the best of luck this semester and remind you to please be patient the first few weeks of school as everyone gets back into the swing of things. Expect extra traffic on campus and leave yourself plenty of time to park and get to class.

We hope you all had a restful break and are ready to come back and rock this semester!
