Coming Soon - Florida Department of Transportation Public Hearing for the US1 Bridge Study on October 24th at 5:30 pm at the Jupiter Community Center. The Florida Department of Transportation is conducting a study evaluating alternatives to replace the SR 5/US-1 Federal Highway Bridge. The public hearing on Tuesday, 10/24 will begin at 5:30 pm as an open house. A formal presentation will begin at 6:30 pm, followed by a comment period. Traffic Fatality - Update. On October 19, 2017 at approximately 10:32 pm, Jupiter Police Officers responded to southbound Alternate A1A just south of Frederick Small Road in reference to a crash involving two vehicles. A preliminary investigation has determined that a 2002 Dark Blue Mitsubishi Montero was traveling southbound on Alternate A1A in the middle lane. A second vehicle, a 2003 Blue Hyundai 4-door sedan, was traveling in the same lane approached from behind and rear ended the first vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the first vehicle was flown to St. Mary’s via the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Trauma Hawk for critical injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was Jon A. Markee (26 yoa), he was pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver of the first vehicle was Velicia Metayer-Noel (47 yoa). Metayer-Noel was still at St. Mary’s in critical condition according to their last update. The investigation is currently ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available.

Congratulations to the Jupiter Tequesta Athletic Association 9-U All-Stars Baseball Team for earning the title of 2017 Cal Ripken Southeast Regional Baseball Champions! At last night's Town Council meeting Mayor Wodraska made a proclamation congratulating the team on their outstanding achievement. The team included the following players and coaches: Andrew Abad, Cruise Baker, Jake Finnegan, David Hansen, Jacob Johnson, Jake Pepin, Landon Serrano, Colby Smith, Sullivan Smith, Conner Sorge, Ethan Trivison, Ryan Wanuck, Ignacio Zulaica, Manager- Dale Hansen, Coaches Ryan Baker and Jeff Pepin, and General Manager- Neil Jagolinzer.
