Dade City Police Department News

Department of Children and Family (DCF) will be holding a Feed Florida Event at the Pasco County Fairgrounds on 11/5/2017 - 11/8/2017. These events have been held across the state to allow citizens to receive benefit cards for losses that were incurred during the hurricane. These events have attracted approximately 10,000 people per day. The event will run from 6 am to 6 pm each day. We can expect traffic issues related to this and getting into town and around the High School will be challenging. People have arrived the night before and stayed in the area. SR 52 will be congested during this event. The Pasco Sheriff's office is the lead agency but we will be assisting them and provide assistance to the High School and other areas that are in the city. We will provide additional information as we receive it in the next week. Chief Velboom, Dade City Police Department
