Congratulations to the 25 young men and women who participated in our Teen Driving Initiative, funded through a grant from the Florida Department of Transportation. After receiving instruction in defensive driving and the dangers associated with DUI, distracted driving and aggressive driving, the teens spent the day on our driving pad at PHSC. Many thanks to the college, Little Caesar's Pizza and State Farm Insurance for providing facilities, food and snacks. The teens' awareness, confidence and skills were greatly enhanced over the course of the training days. It is our hope that this training will save their lives and those with whom they come in contact.

The Dade City Police Department sends its condolences to the Highlands County Sheriff's Office and to Deputy Gentry’s family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
